ECMO-CPR is emerging as a beneficial therapy to sudden cardiac arrest with refractory VF, in otherwise healthy individuals, such competitors in sports. Mechanical CPR with CCSV offers a bridge from the scene to hospital-based eCPR. Alongside this, we will look at the London Marathon Events Field of Play cardiac arrest protocol and discuss the challenges posed.
