West Midlands Police is giving its new recruits virtual reality headsets to experience incidents from the victim’s point of view.  Focusing on crimes such as stalking, harassment, rape and domestic, the force is working with local not for profit training provider Calico to deliver training that develops empathy and encourages officers to share their experiences. It helps them to think of the questions they would ask a victim or suspect.  Hear from recent recruits about how this has helped them as they start their career in policing.
