Excelerate Technology awarded place on the National Fire Chiefs Council's Framework for the Supply and Delivery of Emergency Response Equipment and Associated Services
The framework enables emergency services and government organisations such as police, ambulance, fire and rescue, the Defence Risk Management Organisation, the Environment Agency, HM Prison, HMRC, and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency to procure from it. This provides the respective emergency service with an increased standardisation in equipment and for tenders or direct awards to be distributed based on cost without compromising quality of service.
Through the framework, Excelerate Technology will provide a host of connectivity and situational awareness solutions awarded under Lot 5 including:
- The Excell cellular optimisation antenna.
- HDMI streamer – a unit that enables the secure real time video streaming of any HMDI device including Thermal Imaging cameras and UAV’s.
- A variety of integrated Camera and video streaming technologies that can either be fully integrated onboard vehicles or rapidly deployed across any environment. The range includes Excelerate’s Thermal Rapid Deploy Camera (COFDM and LTE options), Peli-Case Control unit with integrated briefing screen and battery packs, and its thermal body worn camera solution.
Bethan Evans, operations director at Excelerate Technology, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded a place on the framework as it opens up opportunities for emergency services and other government bodies to efficiently procure the most innovative and resilient thermal imaging camera solutions.
“We have enjoyed a strong relationship with emergency services nationwide and are determined to carry on providing innovative technologies to improve situational awareness and operational outcomes when being deployed at incidents.”
The framework agreement will bring a plethora of benefits including a reduction in the duplication of costs and efforts, increased standardisation, and the option to add more equipment to the framework within the four years of the agreement, providing the most up to date technological solutions for the emergency services. All Contractors are pre-vetted and qualified to provide the required goods and services.
