Richard Paul Russell Ltd and Plumecast are launching a partnership within the UK market at the Emergency Services Show 2019, showcasing Plumecasts innovative software solution for real time display of actual and potential dispersion of atmospheric pollutants on stand N40.
With over 27 years expertise, Richard Paul Russell Ltd have combined Plumecast with the highest quality ultrasonic anemometers, their own SpaceLogger data logging technology and cloud solution WeatherFile. Accurate real time dispersion modelling uses live measurements taken at or near the source of the release delivering greater accuracy and the unique ability to automatically react to changing circumstances.
The Plumecast concept is simple. It combines software running on a PC with the output from an ultrasonic anemometer. The Plumecast software the runs a dispersion model updated every second, displays the area at risk from an accidental release and, in a real emergency, also displays the estimated present location of an airborne plume. Ultrasonic anemometers measure turbulence characteristics directly, making the real time dispersion modelling much more accurate.
Intended for top-tier COMAH sites, nuclear facilities and any site used for storage of material that could result in airborne toxic releases, installing Plumecast is the best way to demonstrate a capability to provide the information required for off-site emergency plans.
