D-Tech solutions installed in the UK’s best new building

D-Tech International is delighted that our serveIT TOLKIEN and m-series security systems are now proudly placed in the UK’s best new building. This is thanks to D-Tech customer the New Library, Magdalene College, winning the prestigious RIBA Stirling Prize for architecture.
The award-winning New Library, which is open to patrons 24 hours a day – has been labelled, “exquisitely detailed,” “solid and confident, yet deferential new kid on the college block,” and a “unique setting with a clear purpose.” To claim the award, the building pipped five fellow shortlisted buildings, including Hackney New Primary School, Forth Valley College, and Sands End Arts & Community Centre.
Dr Marcus Waithe is the librarian at Magdalene College. Speaking to the BBC, Dr Waithe said his library’s award-winning home was “an inspiring structure – one that would encourage our undergraduates to aim high”.
