Dräger showcases medical and safety technology innovations to support emergency teams at ESS
Taking centre stage will be Dräger’s new
FPS-COM Voice mask integrated unit that enhances firefighter communication when
using breathing apparatus. The easy-to-use unit features enhanced voice capture
and output, with a Click & Go interface which enables quick mounting onto
the Dräger FPS 7000 full-face mask respirator. A key feature of its design is
being easy to service, designed to be completely maintenance free.
Also featured in Dräger’s line up is the next generation Self Contained Breathing Apparatus
(SCBA), the PSS® AirBoss with a Type 4 Nano cylinder. Dräger will also show how
its FireGround accountability system enables teams to monitor, communicate and
report incidents involving active SCBA users through its new, optimised entry
control board (ECB).
Dräger UCF FireCore®, a hands-free thermal imaging camera
and winner of Innovation of the Year at ESS 2024, will also feature. The
technology displays live action imagery into Dräger’s FPS 7000 full face mask.
The camera gives firefighters continuous vision in low-visibility, high-risk,
and unfamiliar environments that emergencies often present.
Visitors to Dräger’s stand will have the
opportunity to see its Multi-Gas Detectors (MGDs). They can detect the ‘toxic
twins’, hydrogen cyanide and carbon monoxide, two of the deadliest gases
present in fires and post fire scenes.
Dräger will demonstrate the user-friendly functionality of its new Resource and Asset Management
(RAM) system, which provides comprehensive documentation of all processes and
data to enhance safety, compliance, and organisational efficiency. RAM offers fast and simple stock
verification to help fire services understand which equipment they have
deployed, where it is, and when it is due back.
On show from Dräger’s Engineered Solutions division is its CBS 1000
Cabin Breathing System and ESS II fresh air system for sealed vehicle cabins
and the Wildfire training tool WFS 1000 sandbox. Dräger’s Water Rescue Helmet, the HPS
AquaRescue will headline Dräger’s helmet lineup.
Elizabeth Millward, Marketing Manager Emergency and Rescue Services,
says Dräger’s line-up is an exciting opportunity to showcase the breadth of
Dräger’s expertise: “Our experience and long-standing heritage in respiratory
protection and safety mean we have solutions to a vast range of dangers and
hazardous environments. Dräger takes pride in
designing technology that protects lives, and we are dedicated to keeping
people safe through our designs.”
