ECO-DRY

ECO-DRY is an intelligent fabric designed to be worn as a single layer in wildland and station wear PPE.
Wildland PPE has unique design requirements, needing to be comfortable to wear for long stretches
of physical activity while still protecting from heat and flame. Designed in collaboration with Australian
firefighters, ECO-DRY delivers the comfort, breathability and thermal protection needed for tackling wildfire
scenarios.
Flexibility and mobility
Wildland firefighters typically
have to cover great stretches
of land in the harshest
conditions. ECO-DRY is
woven to offer the mobility
and flexibility needed during
prolonged call-outs.
Keep cool under
pressure
Heat stress is the biggest threat
to firefighter health. ECODRY is designed to provide
as much comfort as possible.
The inclusion of merino wool/
Lenzing FR fibre helps the
fabric to stay breathable and
wick away sweat, keeping the
wearer at a steady temperature
and preventing overheating.
Protection from heat and flame
ECO-DRY contains meta-aramid, para-aramid, and merino wool fibres, which are inherently flame resistant. The result is thermal protection that won’t wash out, wear off or degrade over time.
Performance that lasts
ECO-DRY is designed and
structured to provide:
increased resistance to
abrasion, tearing, and pilling;
high strength; and excellent
colour fastness. Merino wool
protects against bacteria
growth and odours, meaning
the garment can be kept in
circulation for longer.
