As well as being the UK’s exclusive distributor of the leading emergency lighting and equipment brand Whelen, Woodway is continually innovating to provide solutions to aid the emergency services in being seen and heard.

The Flexiplate is a new, high quality, flexible number plate mounting solution. Offering the perfect fit for any vehicle, it is mounted behind the existing number plate, emitting light from the side and helping to obtain a true 360° coverage of light around the vehicle.

Designed and manufactured in the UK from high quality natural rubber, this solution will fit neatly to both flat and curved bumpers. Its simple fitting ensures the bodywork or panels will not be damaged or compromised, and can be moved from vehicle to vehicle – providing longevity and value for money.

The Flexiplate comes complete with two ultra-bright Whelen Micron lightheads, pre-wired with waterproof connectors. Available in blue or amber, the lightheads come with 25 Scan Lock flash patterns, and can be synced to other Whelen lighting installed on the vehicle.

This universal product suits a variety of applications, such as fire officer cars, rapid response vehicles and police vehicles, and is perfectly suited for covert solutions – with the option of smoked lenses for a discreet finish.

Ray Skelhon, Chairman, Woodway Engineering, said, “Woodway are committed to ensuring we offer the best products and solutions for our customers. Our design engineers have been working on developing the perfect fit for our range of number plate fend offs, and this flexible rubber design has achieved just that, leaving our customers safe in the knowledge that this product will be ideal, whatever the vehicle. This is the highest quality product of its type on the market, and we are looking forward to seeing these in action on our streets.”

Woodway is committed to ensuring it can continue to support the emergency services and those associated critical providers through these difficult times. Measures have been put in place to ensure staff are safe and socially distanced while still working tirelessly to continue to offer support and services to those who require it.
