SO15 - Counter Terrorism Command

Key Tasks

The post holder will be required to do the following:

  • Assess imagery intelligence quickly and accurately in support of high priority CT objectives.
  • Be able to make critical decisions with potentially far reaching consequences while under pressure.
  • Work in partnership with the National CT Community and other Agencies.
  • Utilise technology to enhance and interrogate imagery along with Intelligence Systems.

 

Key Skills

The post holder must have:

  • Strong working knowledge of intelligence systems and process's.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Due to the nature of the work NPIC undertakes applicants must be willing to work long hours at short notice should the need arise.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Applicants should be willing to undertake “On Call” duties.

 

Experience

Biometrics and imagery exploitation is a unique area of business, even more so within CT, and as such direct experience is not expected, however knowledge and experience of how biometrics can be used in support of policing goals and objectives would be of great benefit.  Experience in utilising imagery to further policing objectives or work within the world of surveillance would also be helpful. All other experienced will be gained while on the job along with specialist training provided by both internal and external trainers in the field of Facial Recognition.
