British Cave Rescue Council

The British Cave Rescue Council is the national representative body and coordinating body for the 15 volunteer teams who provide underground search and rescue services throughout the British Isles. The council was formed in 1967 but most teams have been operational for between 50 and 80 years. Both the council and its member teams are charities with no paid staff.
