  • Primetech upgrades Self Contained Communications Trailer, adds 3tc's MODAS
Primetech has upgraded its unique Self Contained Communications Trailer, featuring the MultiNet Integrated Communications System and 3tc's MODAS Incident Command Solution. At the Emergency Services Show in September Primetech will be showcasing a new and more powerful multi-agency version of its Self Contained Communications Trailer. The Self Contained Communications Trailer fulfills a requirement for a communications trailer that contains the MultiNet suite of high power, integrated communications systems to gather Incident Ground Intelligence in real time and to support multi-agency operations and a Common Operational Picture. It includes a Ka, Ku and X-Band mobile satellite broadband system operating through one satellite receiver, COFDM MESH and a mast capable of supporting a wide range of different frequencies and radio systems - UHF, VHF, TETRA - plus VoIP, digital television, satellite phones etc. Helmet, body-worn, drone and other cameras can be linked to the system to provide an accurate, continuously updated picture of all sectors of an incident in real time. The system is also enhanced by the addition of 3tc’s MODAS Incident Command Solution to support improved decision making, giving commanders the power to optimise the deployment of single and multi-agency assets and to monitor performance. In partnership with 3tc’s MODAS Incident Command solution, MultiNet allows dynamic operational and risk-critical information to be made available where it is needed, when it is needed, for everyone who needs it. MODAS Incident Command provides a simple, intuitive tool for Incident Commanders and Operational Officers to view and manage a range of information streams through a straightforward map-based interface. These systems will be on display at the Primetech stand at the Emergency Services Show, stand G13. All of these systems, plus a silent running generator, are housed in a robust, waterproof, long-life co-polymer pod (a variation on the Primetech MultiPod) carried on a trailer that can be towed by non-specialist vehicles and drivers, both on- and off-road. Towable by vehicles of any kind, the Primetech Resilient Communications Trailer is a self contained, flexible and resilient communications unit that can deliver high bandwidth capability, in any location. Units can be customised to satisfy individual service requirements. Use of the trailer frees up larger command vehicles, essential during large-scale, wide area, multi-site and multi-agency operations.

  • The (Upgraded and Improved) Primetech MultiPod
Primetech’s upgraded MultiPod®, a demountable ‘drop-in’ body system for utility vehicles, is now 10% lighter and stronger. Lighter, smaller vehicles and systems help services lower emissions, reduce pollution and deliver on government public heath and green goals. MultiPod® is a unique ‘drop in’ and customisable body system designed by Primetech to be used in any 4 x 4 utility style vehicle. This means that should a service have vehicles of this type within their fleet then these vehicles can easily be brought into service to fill the role of Initial Response /Collaborative Response Vehicles. MultiPod® presents a real opportunity to bring significant financial savings to any Authority considering the introduction of IRV's/CRV's into hard-to-reach or remote locations or for services wanting to provide a rapid intervention or arson reduction capability. Smaller, faster vehicles can arrive at an incident scene more quickly than larger appliances, moving through badly parked cars and narrow roads, so they are able to begin firefighting before the arrival of larger appliances. Now, more than ever, the pressure is on emergency services to deliver more with less, by collaborating more intensively and adopting more efficient single, combined or multi-agency emergency response vehicles and systems. To support these moves, emergency service personnel need the right tools for the job, and a key requirement for this is the development of more effective, cost efficient Collaborative Response vehicles.
  • MultiNet Communications
Primetech’s MultiNet system helps deliver a Common Operational Picture using Ka-band mobile satellite broadband, COFDM Mesh networks, high-resolution drone, body and helmet-worn cameras, 3G/LTE, private cellular networks and interoperable communications. This system provides, in one easy-to-use, integrated solution, all the various communications channels required for fast, responsive and effective incident management. This includes voice (across a wide variety of different channels, including reporting from the firefighter ‘coal face’ of incidents using body and helmet-worn video with audio). It includes live-streamed drone, tripod, body, helmet-worn and other video camera imagery, joined up by COFDM Mesh linking computers, MDT's and screens across incident grounds and which can also be transmitted to wider interested parties through Ka-band mobile satellite broadband. Databases (mapping, personnel, risks, resources, imagery, news and social media, for example) can also be accessed and online video conferences held across widely dispersed commands.
  • WCCTV Body Worn Camera (Connect)
NEW - Primetech has introduced a new, high-spec body-worn video camera (WCCTV Connect) to its MultiNet incident ground communications system. The WCCTV Body Worn Camera (Connect) is an award-winning UK manufactured body-worn camera offering live transmission of video, audio, real-time alerts and GPS information via 4G/3G and Wi-Fi connectivity. It is a perfect system for integration into the MultiNet Communications system, providing a self-healing Mesh network at incident ground level. The transmission capability enables a remote operator to not only view the live video stream, but to understand the wearer’s position via GPS. The wearer can also send alerts back to the control team via the MultiNet network. The WCCTV Body Worn Camera (Connect) is a single unit, with no external cables, battery packs, transmission units or tethering. The system drastically improves security, safety and decision-making for emergency workers in the field, and allows incident commanders to coordinate tactical operations in real-time with eyes on the ground. Features and Benefits include live transmission via Wi-Fi, delivering real-time situational awareness and supporting a dynamically updated Common Operational Picture. The system also includes evidence management software for secure, auditable post-incident analysis. All of these cameras can be integrated into Primetech's MultiNet Comms integrated incident ground communications system.

  • FireCam On Call 4K Helmet Camera
Primetech has launched the range of FireCam OnCall heat resistant 4K hi-resolution helmet cameras in the UK. The cameras were chosen because they have been specifically designed by firefighters for use within fire and rescue services. The cameras can withstand very high temperatures and provide high resolution 4K, live-streamed secure video imagery and high quality audio. This can be viewed through Primetech’s MultiNet Comms system as well as on a unique smartphone app with secure access. Primetech is the sole UK distributor for the FireCam OnCall range of body and helmet-worn 4K video cameras. The cameras have the capability to help Firefighters, Incident and Sector commanders improve the safety of fire personnel as well as contributing to the more effective management of fires and other incidents, delivering live Common Operational Picture updates of incident conditions throughout all relevant command structures, as well as recording footage for post-incident analysis. The cameras are so high spec that HD versions were chosen by an award-winning production company which had a requirement to record broadcast quality footage (onto SD cards) for a live action documentary series that was shown on UKTV’s Really Channel. The documentary follows firefighters undertaking their various professional roles in West Midlands Fire Service. More information can be found on https://www.wmfs.net/really-lands-first-ever-uk-fire-documentary-series/ Through Primetech’s MultiNet Comms, Wi-Fi start-up is instantaneous, which enables the live stream to integrate into the MultiNet Comms network with ease. The quality of the video stream is outstanding, with infrared recording as standard. Into The Fire, filmed using 70 of Primetech's FireCam OnCall helmet cameras, began transmission on January 8 2018 on UKTV’s Really Channel. The series won Project of the Year for Primetech and West Mids FS in the 2017 Excellence in Fire and Emergency Awards.
