Who can attend The Emergency Services Show?

The Show is a trade event dedicated to anyone who works in the emergency services - from the police, fire, ambulance, first responders, voluntary workers, search and rescue services.

This is an industry-only event and NOT open to the general public. Visitors under the age of 16 will not be admitted. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry. 

When will I receive my visitor badge?

The Emergency Services Show is cutting down on paper that is sent out. Once you register for free entry you will be sent an email confirming your registration with your barcode and visitor registration number. You can bring that with you to the Show to have your badge printed on arrival.

What if I have forgotten my email when I arrive?

Don't worry - just go to the registration desk situated at the main entrance, staff will then locate your details on the database and issue you with your visitor badge.

Can I register when I arrive?

Yes, if you have not pre-registered you can register on-screen on arrival. It is far easier to pre-register in advance - you will be emailed your and barcode pre-show and will save queueing to complete your full registration on arrival.

 

What are the exhibition opening times?

Wednesday 20 September 2023         09:00 - 16:30 

Is parking available at the venue?

Yes, there is parking at the NEC. Please follow signs within the NEC campus for The Emergency Services Show or ESS. Car parking will be FREE OF CHARGE, thanks to Emergency Services Times. Ensure you keep your visitor badge to exit the car park without charge.

Can I bring children?

Sorry, but this is a trade event and children under the age of 16 years are not permitted. There are NO creche facilities at the venue so please DO NOT bring children or babies.

Are there disabled facilities at the venue?

The venue is suitable for wheelchair access. There is disabled car parking opposite the hall entrance near Hall 5 and you must display a blue badge to park in this area. For more information about disabled access please view the NEC website.

Are students allowed to attend the exhibition?

Students will be allowed to enter the exhibition with prior permission from the organiser and as a chaperoned group. Students under the age of 16 years are not permitted. Please email info@emergencyuk.com if you wish to bring a student group.

Is there a cloakroom for bags and coats?

There is a cloakroom adjacent to Hall 5. Visitors can store bags, coats and luggage for £1 per item per day. Overnight storage is not available.

Where can I eat?

There will be restaurants and coffee carts open during the Show within the halls. In addition the Piazza area outside Hall 5 offers several restaurants and snack outlets. 

Is a cashpoint available onsite?

Cash points (with a charge payable) are available outside the halls.

Is there a newsagent onsite?

There is a newsagent in the Piazza, between Hall 5 and Hall 4. 

Is there wifi?

Visitors to the NEC can connect to free wifi across the venue, enabling them to stay connected to their home, office and social media networks whilst at The Emergency Services Show.

Is there a prayer room?

The NEC has a Multi-Faith Prayer Room available for prayer, reflection or meditation - located in the Piazza (Halls 1-5) next to the chaplaincy office (by Subway). It has a washing facility, prayer mats, holy books and other resources for prayer which have been donated by representatives of local faiths. 

VISA Letters

If you need a visa to attend The Emergency Services Show or The Emergency Tech Show, it is essential that you begin the application process as soon as possible in order for you obtain your visa in time for the show or registration deadline. Visa application procedures for entering many countries, and in particular the UK, have become stricter and more complex following Covid-19, and therefore it can take much longer to process your application than anticipated. You must submit your own application to the relevant authority and follow up accordingly. The Emergency Services Show and The Emergency Tech Show are unable to follow up on your application on your behalf or enter into direct correspondence with consulates.

A Visa Support Letter will ONLY be issued to SPEAKERS and EXHIBITORS who have been invited by The Emergency Services Show or The Emergency Tech Show, or who have paid their exhibition registration fee in full. Once we have confirmed receipt of payment from the proposed attendee, we will need the full name, nationality, passport number, expiry date and date of birth for the attendee, only then can we issue a Visa Support Letter. The Visa Support Letter will confirm the event title, date and location. It will also confirm whether the individual is a speaker or exhibitor. It will not imply any undertaking to provide funding nor act as a financial guarantee for your stay in the UK. The Emergency Services Show and The Emergency Tech Show reserve the right not to issue a Visa Support Letter in certain cases even if the above conditions have been met. Exhibition Fees will not be refunded in the case of a Visa not being obtained.
