
Alex Clark
Alex Clark began his distinguished career in the Fire and Rescue Service at just 18 years old, dedicating 26 years to the Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service, where he rose through the ranks to become Chief Fire Officer. His exceptional leadership and commitment to public safety led to his appointment as Deputy Chief Officer of the newly formed Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS), where he played a pivotal role in shaping national fire service strategy.
In recognition of his outstanding contribution and strategic leadership, Alex was awarded the prestigious Queen’s Fire Service Medal.
Following his retirement from SFRS in 2017, Alex brought his wealth of experience to Capita Fire and Rescue as Chief Fire Officer. He has been instrumental in the development and deployment of the Defence Fire and Rescue Service, and continues to provide strategic oversight and guidance to the Fire Service College, helping to shape the next generation of fire and rescue professionals.
