Alex Wilson-Evans
Deputy Chief Clinical Officer – Community Operations,
St John Ambulance Cymru
Dr Wilson qualified as a Doctor from Swansea Medical School in 2017 and currently works within the NHS in South Wales as an Anaesthetist with a specialist interest in Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine, Major Trauma and Resuscitation. Alongside his NHS work he also volunteers with St John Ambulance Cymru as the National Clinical Advisor for Community Operations and an Event Doctor and with the South Wales BASICS responder scheme MEDSERVE as an Enhanced Care Doctor responding to pre-hospital emergencies on behalf of the Welsh Ambulance Service. He has previously held roles with both Mountain Rescue as a Team Doctor and the RNLI as a Helmsman and Casualty Carer. As well as his medical degree he also hold a degree in Disaster Management and Emergency Planning and worked in the disaster relief and emergency planning fields before qualifying as a Doctor.
