Alison KIbblewhite

Bedfordshire Fire & Rescue Service
Alison was the first full time female firefighter in Wales and joined the Fire Service in 1995. After 26 years in South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, Alison was promoted to an Assistant Chief Officer in Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service. Her hobbies include many years of running, fitness training, travelling, cooking and reading. She is a member of the Antarctic Fire Angels, who are a 5-women firefighter team planning and training to traverse Antarctica in 2023 taking a route covering 1900kms pulling all the kit, equipment and supplies for the whole journey. They hope to be the first female emergency services team to complete this route and it is likely to take around 70 days. The Fire Angels are raising money for The Fire Fighters Charity and the Harlequins Foundation to inspire others, smash gender stereotypes and raise issues around mental health.
