Andy leads on all aspects of technology for national policing capabilities delivered through Police Digital Service in his role as CTO. Andy's team focuses on Strategy, Architecture, Standards and Governance, working in collaboration with Home Office, APCC and NPCC to maximise policing outcomes. He initially commenced his career with Cumbria Constabulary, and later progressed to national level, leading on the creation of the first nationally created, locally delivered, technology blueprints for policing in support of the National Policing Digital Strategy, which progressed to establishing the CTO function at PDS.
