Andy Lillford
Andy joined Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service in 1999 and has held a number of operational and leadership roles across the Service. These have included operations, resilience and training. He is a qualified strategic incident commander and has completed the multi-agency gold incident command course (MAGIC).
Andy is an advocate of partnership and multi-agency working and has a professional interest in interoperability. He has held a number of roles chairing local and regional JESIP groups as well as LRF groups. Andy is the North East Region lead for National Inter-agency Liaison Officers (NILO) ensuring the emergency services in the north east are trained, exercised and prepared for high threat incidents.
