Ben Norman
Deputy Chief Fire Officer,
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service
Following his appointment as Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service’s Deputy Chief Fire Officer in November 2021, Ben Norman joined the Service on January 1, 2022.
Ben joined GMFRS from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, where he was an Assistant Chief Fire Officer and held the position of Director of Strategy and Planning.
Ben will support GMFRS on its journey to improve and change the culture of the organisation ensuring the Service is fit for the future.
As a former Company Member and Service Lead for the Firefighters Charity, Ben has throughout his career placed supporting fundraising, beneficiary awareness and wider development of the charity and its wider work as a personal priority.
