Camilla de Camargo

Programme Leader for Criminology, Lancaster University

I have worked extensively with Dr Camilla De Camargo on the National Uniform Working Group priorities and the implementation and dissemination of the first ever National Uniform and Equipment Survey in England and Wales. Without her, the survey would never have been created. I worked closely with Camilla and the Police National Federation to encourage collaborative engagement with the survey and at the close, we received over 18,000 responses and 30,000 qualitative comments. This survey will inform national priorities for the NPCC National Uniform Portfolio and impact policy changes. The report is due to be published imminently, and this hopefully will deliver key strategic changes in providing all police colleagues with suitable clothing and equipment that is safe and comfortable. We are also seeking to increase supplier engagement across the police sector.
