Colin Wright leads Learning and Development at Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service, bringing over 25 years of operational and instructional experience. Starting as an on-call firefighter in 1997, he now has a dual role as Group Manager for Learning and Development and Crew Manager at Patterdale Fire Station, coupled with being a Hazardous Materials Officer. Passionate about developing skilled instructors, Colin ensures training remains relevant and grounded in frontline reality. He is currently leading the service’s cultural transformation by embedding the evidence-based FRS360® tool to support leadership development and strengthen trust across operational and corporate teams.
