Bruce Wong
Bruce Wong is a committed emergency volunteer and specialist with expertise in international urban search and rescue coordination, capacity building and safety and emergency management within the aviation and railway industries. He is deeply passionate to strengthen community resilience.
Currently, he serves as the Chairman of the Hong Kong Volunteer Rescue Association and actively engages with various local and international emergency organizations. His contributions encompass community disaster preparedness education and post-typhoon recovery initiatives in Hong Kong, as well as participation in training and exercises organized by the United Nations International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG) in Asia-Pacific. Furthermore, Bruce has been invited to serve on several technical committees of the US National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, where he plays a role in developing standards related to technical search and rescue and people safety.
He is also a Fellow of both the Institute of Civil Protection and Emergency Management and the Institute of Search and Technical Rescue.
