Gemma joined the Police Digital Service as a Business Engagement Manager in 2022, bringing with her over 15 years of policing experience from Merseyside Police. Graduating from King's College London with a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science (Genetics), and an MSc in Forensic Science, she started her career as a forensic practitioner, predominantly in Digital Forensics. Progressing into management, she led the implementation of quality standards and accreditation across forensic services. Further developing her leadership skills, she attained an MSc in Police Leadership from Liverpool Hope University. She went on to work within Digital Transformation, establishing a core centralised team to drive innovation, and subsequently led Microsoft 365 adoption for the Force.
