Glenn Smith
Glenn Smith is Chair of Lincolnshire Lowland Search and Rescue (LLSAR), having joined in September 2019 and achieving Search Technician status in 2022 after training through the COVID period. He was appointed Chair in December 2021 and has since progressed through multiple operational roles, including Team Leader, Search Operations Supervisor, Search Manager, and Incident Commander. He also holds TAQA, IQA, and Team Leader Assessor qualifications.
In August 2025, he led LLSAR through its National Assessment, securing full operational status for the team.
He has a strong interest in electric vehicles, influenced by his work as a director of Dial-a-Ride, and is currently leading a long-term project on fleet transition and charging strategy, due to be presented at LLSAR AGMs in 2026 and 2027.
Prior to retirement, he worked in crisis management, emergency planning, business continuity, and the water industry, and served 10 years as a Special Constable.
