Paramedic Clinical Mentor at Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust, Founder of Greenwell Medical Education & Consultancy

Harry F. G. Vines BSc (Hons), MCPara is an HCPC-registered paramedic and educator based in York with Yorkshire Ambulance Service. He combines frontline clinical practice with a seconded role as a Paramedic Clinical Mentor, supporting Newly Qualified Paramedics and other developing clinicians as they build confidence, competence and professional independence.

Harry began working across voluntary and private ambulance services in 2014, gaining experience in event medicine, urgent care and emergency settings before qualifying as a paramedic in 2021 and completing his NQP programme in 2023. His wider career spans clinical leadership, governance, quality assurance, course development, regulated pre-hospital education and continuing professional development.

Alongside his frontline and mentoring work, Harry has served as an Associate Educator within the Yorkshire Ambulance Service Academy, teaching learners from support worker and apprentice level through to qualified paramedics. He has also lectured across undergraduate and postgraduate paramedic and nursing programmes, helping learners connect academic knowledge with the realities of contemporary clinical practice.

His professional interests include mentorship, human factors, psychological safety, reflective practice and patient safety. He also runs Greenwell Medical Education & Consultancy, creating practical, accessible education informed by frontline experience. Away from work, Harry finds balance in gardening and seeking out good coffee - slower pursuits that provide a welcome counterpoint to the pace of frontline practice.
