Hazem Matar

The University of Hertforshire's Toxicology Research Group
Dr Matar currently holds an Associate Professorship within the University of Hertfordshire's Toxicology Research Group. His main research areas focus on optimising the emergency service's response to incidents involving the release of toxic materials. His research to date has contributed towards the UK's Initial Operational Response and the US Primary Response Incident Scene Management Federal guidance document. Dr Matar is currently focused on evaluating decontamination countermeasures for the removal of toxic chemicals from skin and understanding the chemical protection afforded by personal protective equipment.
