Helen has worked for Northumberland County as their Business Resilience and Emergency Planning lead since October 2021. Prior to that, she worked for a City Council for 13 years. Helen also has experience of working for national and regional government organisations. She was elected as the first female Chair of the Emergency Planning Society in 2012, a position she held for two and half years before stepping down due to family illness.
