Jo Baillie is an Anti-Trafficking Advisor in the British Red Cross Anti-Trafficking team. Supporting the aim that anyone who has been trafficked and exploited should be recognised and protected, the team provide direct casework as well as capacity building and second tier advice to internal teams and external partners. Coming from a legal and human rights background in the refugee sector, Jo has been with the Red Cross for 12 years and part of the Anti-Trafficking team for 5 of those. During this time, an area of focus has been the development and delivery of the service's early support for people exiting situations of exploitation. She has worked closely with several Police Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking units including supporting and advising on anti-human trafficking reception centres, delivering training to investigators, and contributing to the work of a number of Modern Slavery Partnerships.
