Hi, I’m Jon Linde, a Crew Manager with Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service. I’ve proudly served with the Service since 2016, and I genuinely love my job. Anyone who knows me will tell you how passionate I am about the Fire and Rescue Service, and I’m incredibly proud to be a firefighter.

Outside of work, I’m a husband and dad to two wonderful daughters, Nell, who is 7, and Olive, who is 3. We also have a four-year-old dog called Luna, who keeps us all on our toes! Family time is important to me, and I enjoy making the most of every opportunity to spend time with my wife, Laura, and our girls.

Laura has lived with endometriosis for over 20 years, although she only received a diagnosis around 10 years ago. Supporting her has given me a real appreciation of the challenges the condition can bring and the impact it has on everyday life. As someone who works alongside many female colleagues, I want to do what I can to support them too, while helping to raise awareness and understanding of endometriosis across the Service.

Outside of family life, I enjoy all kinds of sport—especially football—keeping fit, spending time with friends, travelling around the UK and abroad, and, most importantly, having a smile on my face.

I enjoy meeting new people, learning about their experiences, and supporting colleagues wherever I can. I look forward to getting to know more people across the Service and making a positive difference.
