Lee Rowley

Lee Rowley is currently the RFFS Training Manager at Birmingham Airport, and sits on the Committee of the Airport Fire Officers Association.

Lee began his fire service career at Birmingham Airport in 2007, serving as a Firefighter before progressing into roles in Operational Resilience, and a number of positions at the Fire Service College. He joined Heathrow Airport in January 2023, where he served as an operational Fire Station Manager, as well as leading the training and professional development of more than 100 fire service personnel.  He currently sits as a liaison and advisor to a number of national working groups.

He has completed higher‑education studies at four universities, culminating in a Ph.D. in 2023. Lee also holds qualifications in Strategic Management and Leadership, is certified by the Business Continuity Institute, and holds Chartered Manager status.

He is a member of both the Chartered Management Institute and the Business Continuity Institute.

Lee was awarded the British Fire Service Association Commendation Medal in 2017 for the rescue of an engineer entrapped within the fuel tank of a Boeing 737.
