Superintendent, Leicestershire Police and Head of VAWG/Op Soteria, College of Policing
Superintendent Manjit Atwal QPM Leicestershire Police, has been seconded to the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Taskforce College of Policing since January 2022. A mother of two with 27 years’ service, and until Jan 2022, most of her service has been at Leicestershire Police or at regional level. She has completed several roles across the Force from Police Constable to Chief Inspector, including Operational and Neighbourhood Policing, Force Intelligence, Regional Counter Terrorism lead and Violence Complex Crime Unit. Other commitments within Leicestershire Police Force which she continues to carry out include Hostage Crisis Negotiator, Chair of Women Inclusive Network, and Chair of the Sikh Association. Her current role means she is seconded to the College of Policing and works with the VAWG NPCC Lead DCC Maggie Blyth in an area we are all aware of, that impacts on all our communities, our people, and leaders.
