Mark is the ‘Incident Command Capability’ project manager for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service. He retired as a fire officer after 31 years’ service and spent the last three years of his career as a group manager leading the service’s research & development team. He was responsible for introducing new ways of working within the service, which included using digital technology to improve situational awareness for incident commanders.

In his current role he is responsible for delivering a replacement command vehicle together with ‘connected devices’ to allow the incident ground to share information in real time. Mark is focused on exploiting technology to support incident commanders to improve decision making and incident management.
