Nicholas Farr
Nicholas Farr is a national resilience consultant specialising in defence and security at PA Consulting. He has worked across central, regional and local government, developing and implementing strategies to strengthen resilience, preparedness and national security. His work applies systems thinking to assess resilience capability, identify critical dependencies and translate risk and threat evidence into prioritised, threat-informed action. Nicholas has held operational, strategic and policy roles, including Ambulance Service Tactical Commander and Emergency Preparedness Manager at the UK Health Security Agency. His professional and academic interests include how the UK can strengthen societal and institutional resilience to persistent sub-threshold activity, and how incidents and exercises can drive sustained organisational and systemic change.
