Paul Chandler
Deputy Director for Transport,
NHS England
Paul has worked for the NHS for over 20 years, primarily in managing a wide range of clinical services in London teaching hospitals. He joined the Greener NHS programme three years ago, setting up the Net Zero Travel and Transport programme to oversee the decarbonisation of every journey linked to the NHS by 2045. A large part of Paul's current role is to support ambulance trusts to develop and trial zero emission replacements for their varied fleet of vehicles – including rapid response cars, mental health response vehicles and frontline emergency ambulances.
