Rob MacIntosh
Head of Fleet,
London Ambulance Service
When Rob started as an apprentice mechanic in 1988, ambulances were somewhat simpler affairs: two stretchers, a heater, a few cupboards and a couple of blue lights. Nearly forty years later, as Associate Director of Fleet at London Ambulance Service, he's helping lead the transition to electrified emergency vehicles. Having worked across Wales, the UAE, Lebanon, St John Ambulance and London, Rob has enjoyed a front-row seat to every major technological shift from carburettors to connected, high-tech ambulances. He still believes he's simply had the good fortune of excellent timing.
