Professor Rowena Hill from Nottingham Trent University has worked alongside the emergency services and resilience structures for the past 20 years to place research and evidence base with decision-makers to inform strategy and the directions of the sectors. She is the Honorary National Research Lead for the Fire Fighters Charity, the inaugural national Chair of the National Fire Chiefs Council Academic Collaboration for Evaluation and Research, the Economic Social Research Council Policy Fellow on Climate Change to the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities and is the embedded scientist to NPCC Climate Change (Civil Contingencies) and Adverse Weather portfolio.
