In her first year as CEO of the Fire Fighters Charity, Sherine has strengthened and expanded a lifeline of support for the fire services community. Under her leadership, the charity has provided care to over 10,000 people across the UK, offering counselling, crisis support, financial help, and programmes focused on both physical and mental wellbeing. Sherine has worked tirelessly to raise awareness so that more serving and retired staff, as well as their families, know the charity is here for them - independent, confidential and free of judgement. She recognises the growing pressures faced by the fire community, from operational risks to social challenges, and is committed to adapting services to meet their changing needs. Her dedication to ensuring firefighters and their families feel valued, supported and never alone makes Sherine a true unsung hero.
