Tim Murrell has been the Operational Lead for Drones for the National Fire Chief's Council since 2016. The portfolio allows him to work with academia, small businesses, and research organisations to develop the use of drones to save lives and improve responder safety. Tim previously served as a Group Manager with specialist skills in International Search & Rescue, Flood Response, Civil Protection and Hazardous Materials. Tim also manages a busy Fire & Rescue Drone Team in Lancashire which helps evaluate and deploy new drone capabilities at operational incidents. Tim has recently been decorated with the Queen's Fire Service Medal for distinguished service.
