Launching at The Emergency Services Show this September, the Immersive Skills Lab offers a powerful, hands-on experience that explores how digital innovation is transforming the way emergency responders train. From first response through to post-incident review, every stage of the learner journey is brought to life.

Led by Fire Service College and Capita, and delivered in collaboration with leading technology partners, the Lab showcases how immersive tools support capability, confidence and decision-making in high-pressure environments.

The Lab brings together trusted innovators including Flaim Systems, LearnPro, iTrackPPE, Rivr, and Pauley to showcase how immersive learning technology enhances every stage of an emergency responder’s learner journey.

Together, these technologies demonstrate how immersive learning is no longer a future concept but a practical, scalable solution already in action—one that adapts to the realities of modern emergency services and supports lifelong development.

LEARNING JOURNEY IN ACTION

Visitors progress through a complete incident scenario, from first alert through to post-incident insight, experiencing:

  • immersive VR simulation for incident command
  • live dashboards showing reaction times and decision data
  • smart PPE and wearable safety tracking
  • multi-agency coordination and debrief tools

Each demo demonstrates how digital learning enhances real-world readiness and resilience.
