For ambulance services and pre-hospital teams

Clinical learning and equipment for ambulance and pre-hospital care

Build your knowledge, try medical equipment and see how services are rethinking the vehicles you work in.

The Emergency Services Show (ESS) is an exhibition and learning event for the whole UK emergency services community. This page is for paramedics, technicians, emergency care assistants and clinical leads, and for the fleet, training and procurement teams around them. It covers NHS ambulance trusts, independent ambulance providers, air ambulance charities, community first responders and event medical teams. ESS 2027 takes place on 6-7 October 2027 at the NEC Birmingham.

WHY ATTEND?

Why ambulance and pre-hospital teams visit ESS

LEARNING CONNECTS TO PRACTICE

In 2026, the Royal College of Paramedics theatre covered clinical standards, resuscitation, patient care and leadership, with sessions led by people working in the field.

SEE WHERE AMBULANCE DESIGN IS HEADING

Electric ambulances and conversion design were on the 2026 programme, with speakers from Yorkshire Ambulance Service and London Ambulance Service.

TRY MEDICAL EQUIPMENT IN YOUR OWN HANDS

Compare devices, consumables and training equipment, and ask suppliers how they perform in a moving vehicle or a tight space.

MEET THE BIGGEST GROUP AT THE SHOW

Ambulance made up 36% of ESS visitors in 2026, the largest single sector, so it is a good place to compare notes across trusts, providers and roles.
