  • Scot Seat Group supply to Emergency One and have supplied bed seats to vehicles in build for Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service.

When fire fighters are at an incident, they are often first responders. The Scot Seat bed seat means that a seat can convert easily to a bed so that casualties can be treated at the site until ambulance support arrives. The other seats in the vehicle are also supplied by Scot Seat Group and are their popular San Carlos low back seats.

The  popular, Scot Seat bed seats are available in 1, 2 & 3 seat options for maximum flexibility. The seat comes as standard with sculpted deluxe seat cushioning offering great comfort when being used for passenger carrying and can be opened out to its bed position in less than 30 seconds.

The seats for Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service are trimmed in a specially produced vinyl for the medical industry which is anti-bacterial and anti microbial coated.

The Scot Seat bed seats are the perfect solution for emergency response teams for security and terrorism response vehicles allowing people to travel in the seats and convert to bed for injured people on arrival of scene.

  • Bodytrak® is making its inaugural visit to the Emergency Services Show (ESS) as the only multi-parameter in-ear body monitoring platform to track Core Body Temperature (CBT) and Heart Rate (HR) accurately and in real time. The device also continually tracks Heart Rate Variability (HRV), Oxygen Uptake (VO2), speed and distance which, together with HR and CBT, helps preserves the health and wellbeing of first responders, particularly firefighter, in the most hazardous of situations. Real time monitoring of multiple signs has the potential to reduce heat-related injury, detect illness and improve recovery time.

Until now, no system has existed to allow the physiological monitoring of firefighters while in a blaze, with a high degree of accuracy. For the first time, Bodytrak provides fire crews with a highly accurate and effective way to monitor physical well-being, in training and operationally. Bodytrak is the only unobtrusive device that accurately measures multiple vital signs in a single compact wearable. The device is currently being trialled with a number of emergency, fire and rescue services, military organisations and in scenarios where industrial health and safety is a priority.

  • Geodesign Barriers have been working closely with the Environment Agency since 2001, but the company also recently became framework partners to the EA. Since the severe flooding during Christmas 2015 in Cumbria, Lancashire and Yorkshire, a considerable stock of temporary flood barriers have been purchased. These are to be used for flood emergencies across the UK, as described in the ‘National Flood Resilience Review’ published by the Government in September 2016. These new ‘Economy’ barriers are lightweight and very quick and simple to deploy. At stand J75 you can see the EUR81 Steel Barrier, a new, slightly lower version (0.81m) of the EUR101 Steel Barrier (1.01m) that the EA recently have purchased. There is also a EUR61 Steel Barrier (0.61m).

  • In these modern times, Fire Rescue Services face many different challenges to their operations, all of which stretch the budget and result in a need to achieve more with less – sound familiar? This perceived cost cutting and the subsequent decisions made invariably result in solutions that, on paper, provide a “cost effective” solution, but more often than not turn out to be a false economy, resulting in poor performance and a route to unforeseen risks and dangers.
